Aerophone Pro Gold Limited Edition
Commemorative Aerophone Pro in a premium Anniversary Gold finish
The Aerophone Pro Gold Limited Edition model is a special milestone release that commemorates a decade of innovation with Roland’s trailblazing digital wind platform. As an instrument, it offers all the premium features of the standard Aerophone Pro model, including highly expressive playability, versatile performance capabilities, and a vast sonic palette powered by the acclaimed Roland wind sound engine.
The ultimate Aerophone experience
First introduced in 2016, the Aerophone series has opened a new world of creative possibilities for wind players, and Aerophone Pro represents the pinnacle of Roland’s advanced wind technology. Compared with the standard Aerophone Pro model's attractive silver-and-black finish, the Aerophone Pro Gold Limited Edition offers a distinctively elegant look with its Anniversary Gold finish and black trim.
A limited run with commemorative accessories
Only 3000 Aerophone Pro Gold Limited Edition models will be produced. Each instrument comes with an exclusive carrying case emblazoned with the Aerophone 10th Anniversary logo, a numbered certificate, and a special letter from the Aerophone R&D team.
Enhanced by experts
While developing Aerophone Pro, Roland reached out to expert wind players around the globe, and their feedback led to many thoughtful improvements that substantially enhance the instrument’s look, feel, sound, and playability. The result is a revolutionary wind instrument that gives musicians a new and highly expressive voice.
Refined design
Aerophone Pro features a sleek design and premium materials, with an attractive, thin shape that’s easy to hold for a confident playing experience. Controls are easy to reach, and the streamlined body exudes an understated yet classy appearance. The discrete OLED screen feels like an integral part of the instrument, with easy viewing in all kinds of lighting.
Play with passion
Aerophone Pro’s adjustable fingering is the same as a flute, clarinet, or saxophone (complete with a high-F# key), while a motion sensor, configurable controls for both hands, and a MIDI input for footswitches greatly expand your performance options. Through extensive research and development, the breath and bite sensors are more responsive and expressive than ever, with low latency and configurable settings to suit your unique playing style.
Authentic brass, woodwinds, strings, and more
Aerophone Pro packs an entire brass and woodwind section into a single instrument. It features a wide range of sounds developed with professional wind players, including newly enhanced soprano, alto, and tenor saxes, vibrant trumpet sounds, and authentic world instruments like the stunning duduk. Roland’s SuperNATURAL technology translates every playing nuance with lifelike dynamics, articulations, and overtones. Multiple custom fingerings are supported, while expanded controller options enable idiomatic performance techniques from mainstream to exotic.
Roland’s best synthesizer sounds
Aerophone Pro is an immensely capable wind synthesizer backed by the same ZEN-Core sound engine that powers flagship Roland synthesizers like FANTOM EX and JUPITER-X. Presets crafted by the world’s foremost wind synth sound designers offer everything from vintage analog synth tones to modern hybrid sounds—with the expression and articulation only a wind instrument can provide. It’s even possible to import ZEN-Core tone data and custom samples created on a FANTOM series keyboard into Aerophone Pro via a USB flash drive.
Powerful harmony and tuning features
Newly expanded tools provide even more options for enhancing performances and playing regional music styles. The Intelligent Harmony function creates real-time harmonies based on the key and scale you set. And with a wireless footswitch like the BOSS FS-1-WL, you can turn the harmonies on/off and switch keys as you perform. There’s also a Scale Tune function for independently tuning each note on the instrument, enabling you to perform with different temperaments or personalize Aerophone Pro for specific music genres around the world.
Explore new sonic territory
Roland Cloud opens a world of possibilities for expanding your sonic palette with Wave Expansions, Sound Packs, and tones created with other instruments based on the ZEN-Core Synthesis System. There are even Sound Packs specifically designed for Aerophone Pro that leverage its unique controls and expressive articulations.
Take the stage and the studio
With its robust design and flexible audio/MIDI connections, Aerophone Pro is perfect for live performances or as the centerpiece of a wind controller-based studio setup. Bluetooth MIDI provides wireless access to music production apps and external control options such as the BOSS FS-1-WL and EV-1-WL. And with a headphone jack, built-in speaker, and battery-powered operation, you can pick up and play whenever and wherever inspiration strikes.
Sound management
Aerophone Pro’s powerful onboard editing tools let you personalize sounds on the spot. Even deeper customization is available through the free editor app, where you can manage sound libraries for different playing situations. With easily selectable scene memories and favorites, you can quickly navigate the vast array of tones and mark them for instant recall. Import/export is available via the app or a USB flash drive, allowing you to swap and share scenes with other players in the Aerophone Pro community.
