And with built-in wireless connectivity and Roland Cloud Connect on your smartphone, you can instantly change up your sound with a growing library of V-Drums Instrument Expansions, Kit Packs, and more.
The TD713 delivers V-Drums 7 Series performance in a streamlined electronic kit with the expandable V71 module and our latest pads. The PD-14DSX takes our digital snare technology to the next level with even more detailed sensing, a snare throw-off lever, and a snare tension knob. The KD-12 kick pad offers a satisfying feel and a compact profile for easy placement. Completing this expressive kit are our acclaimed digital hi-hat and ride pads, four PDX-100 tom pads, two V-Cymbals, and the MDS-GND2 stand.
The sound you want. The way you want it.
Overflowing with expressive power, the V-Drums 7 Series delivers the most immersive drumming experience available—where unmatched sound and playability meet total control.
Sound choices
The V-Drums 7 Series gives you the freedom to shape your drum voice like never before, putting premium-grade sounds, easy instrument expansion, and professional sound processing tools at your fingertips.
Think you know V-Drums? Think again.
Our V71 module launches the V-Drums sound into a new dimension of realism and creative command. The onboard drum library has been created from the ground up, with instruments never featured in any previous module. Crafted from a hand-picked selection of the world’s finest drum sets, these record-ready sounds deliver the detail, punch, and sonic quality found in the most expensive computer collections.
Recording process.
The V71 sound library was originally recorded and mixed at 32-bit/192 kHz resolution in pro studios around the globe, with intensive sessions manned by leading engineers who know how to capture incredible drum sounds. A large part of the collection was recorded in direct collaboration with DW in Oxnard, California, ensuring a seamless experience between the hardware module and the DW Soundworks software instrument.
New sounds, on demand.
While previous V-Drums modules offer deep editing capabilities, the onboard sound libraries are fixed and can’t be expanded. The V71 module changes all that, letting you freely change up the sound set for the first time. Open the Roland Cloud Connect app on your mobile device to access a growing range of V-Drums Instrument Expansion titles via your wireless network. Then, find the sounds you want, download them directly to the module, and start drumming immediately.
Choose your perspective.
When you’re a serious drummer, your sound exists in two distinct universes. One is the intimate, up-close sound of the drums when you’re behind the kit. The second is the produced sound created for a recording or live PA, which is typically processed with EQs, compressors, and ambience. Some V-Drums Instrument Expansion titles have been specially mixed for both the drummer and producer positions, letting you create the playing experience you want at the touch of a button.
Unrivaled expression.
Like top-tier drum sound libraries for computers, the V71 features multi-layer sample playback and round-robin randomization for natural sound with no “machine-gun” effect. Roland’s proprietary behavior modeling adds the finishing touch, refining the sound with smooth, artifact-free transitions for every articulation and over 16,000 variations in dynamic response with our digital pads. Together with our latest sensors and digital trigger technologies, the V-Drums 7 Series delivers an inspiring, acoustic-like playing feel that’s second to none in the electronic drumming world.
Flexible Platform - Two ways to play.
When you play a V-Drums 7 Series kit, you’ll enjoy a consistent drumming experience across every creative environment. Perform on stage with robust, reliable hardware, then transition to the studio and a computer-based workflow with the very same sounds.
Hardware convenience.
Nothing beats dedicated hardware for quick setup and trouble-free playing in demanding situations. With the V71 module, you get no-compromise sound and pro audio connectivity—including multiple direct outs for individual drums—housed in a rugged command center with fast startup, an informative color display, and quick-access controls.
Computer flexibility.
Every V-Drums 7 Series kit can trigger sounds in DW Soundworks,* a revolutionary drum software instrument that runs as a standalone computer application or a DAW plug-in. Many DW Soundworks expansions mirror V-Drums Instrument Expansion titles, allowing you to transition to software-based drumming with the identical sound and response as the module.
*Included with Roland Cloud Ultimate membership.
Expand your world.
On Roland Cloud, you’ll never run out of fresh inspiration for your drumming journeys. V-Drums Instrument Expansions add all-new drum kits to the module, recorded using the same detailed process as the core library. Up to six expansions can be active at once, and you can freely exchange kicks, snares, cymbals, and other components between different kits. We also offer V-Drums Kit Packs created by top drummers and producers, which are customized kits built from the core sound library.

V-Moda VMH-D1 Headphones
The Ultimate Headphones for Electronic Drumming
Jointly developed by Roland and V-MODA, the VMH-D1 V-Drums Headphones bring you a complete personal monitoring solution purpose-built for the electronic drumming experience. Fine-tuned by the V-Drums design team and V-MODA engineers, these unique phones deliver premium sound that realizes the full sonic potential of your V-Drums set and any other e-kit. Comfortable to wear and outfitted with smart practical details, the VMH-D1 is an essential tool that no electronic drummer should be without.
Expert Tuning by Roland and V-MODA
The VMH-D1 is the first collaboration between the Roland V-Drums team and V-MODA, the leading name in headphones for DJs and electronic musicians. Working closely through many development stages, they crafted a special design that couples custom 50 mm drivers with select materials and new mounting methods to accurately translate the aggressive transients, wide frequency range, and rich overtones of every electronic drum set. And if you play a V-Drums kit with Prismatic Sound Modeling, PureAcoustic Ambience, and other advanced Roland sound technologies, the VMH-D1 brings them to life like never before.
Immersive Sound
Headphones are the connection between your valuable kit and your ears—skimping here can make or break your musical satisfaction. The VMH-D1 completes your drumming experience with top-quality performance to match your dedication and ambition. Custom tuning immerses you in high-impact sound, connecting you with the drums as no standard music headphones can. Prepare to get lost in endless inspiration with tight, punchy bass for kick tones, warm, full midrange for the snare and toms, and smooth, extended highs for the cymbals. And with the big soundstage and crystal-clear separation, you’ll hear subtle drum overtones, natural cymbal decay, room sounds, and ambience effects in full 3D detail.
Extended Comfort
The VMH-D1 delivers long-wearing comfort with large memory foam earpads and a cushioned headband that let you play non-stop for hours. Along with their comfortable fit, the earpads provide excellent isolation to keep acoustic pad noise and outside distractions from reaching your ears. Soft and attractive, the synthetic leather covering offers moisture-wicking properties to reduce slippage and keep the phones from moving when working up a sweat.
Tangle-Free Drumming
Typical headphones keep you tethered with a short cable that always gets in the way, making it easy to dislodge the phones or pull them off your head entirely during intense drumming sessions. The VMH-D1’s extra-long 3 m/10 ft. cable provides plenty of slack for an efficient module connection that keeps it far away from your arms and legs while playing. There’s also a cable restraint at the back of the headphones to route the cable behind the head and onto the floor behind your drum throne.
Extra Details
The VMH-D1 comes with a hanger accessory that provides a convenient home to stow your phones when you’re done drumming for the day. It features a rugged plastic design and urethane grip that attaches to various pipe sizes on drum and cymbal stands. And with the prominent red “R” on the right earcup, you can easily see the correct orientation when it’s time to put on the phones and play again.
Full-Range Versatility
Though tuned for drums, the full-range VMH-D1 headphones are great for music listening too. Enjoy high-fidelity sound while jamming with favorite songs, playing with backing tracks, and recording with music production software. You also get a shorter 1.5 m/5 ft. cable for casual listening away from the drums, plus a carrying pouch to keep your VMH-D1 protected while on the move.
